Percussionist Mark Powers resides in Portland, Oregon and visits schools around the country, showing students how to use “found objects” to create music from common, everyday items – at the same time developing creativity and listening/communication skills.
About the Illustrator
Maria Montag is an artist from Cincinnati, Ohio. When Maria isn’t sketching, painting or creating in her studio, you can find her in the garden with the chickens or adventuring around the globe with her husband. Maria holds a BFA in painting from Miami University.
